Of Rugby, Emirates and the Ashes

A busy week for me in terms of a spectator of sports.

England VS South Africa @ Twickenham

Before the game England was on the back of seven defeats, their worst run in 34 years. South Africa are not faring much better and the teams will meet again in the group stages in next year's rugby World Cup.

Great game in the end. The Springboks took the lead at first 13-8 then at 21-13. Phil Vickery scored a late late try and Andy Goode converted it to make it 23-21 for a victory.

Twickenham is an awesome stadium. The atmosphere was great as well. In Rugby matches, beer can be brought into the ground and there is no segregation between the fans!! It's a good family atmosphere, not like football.

Arsenal VS Hamburg @ Emirates

The shame was I didn't have my camera with me, but hey, mental pictures last forever.

Rafael van der Vaart scored a great goal after 4 minutes, but an Arsenal fight-back in the second ensured that they are in pole position to go thru.

I witnessed the pace of Walcott in action and yes, I really thinks that he will be a superstar in time to come. Henry has lost it this season - he looks like a lost sheep upfront.

Australia VS England @Brisbane.

The Ashes is back. England are the underdogs but hey every dog has its day.
