Match Report (aka The Fall of a Titan)

It started off as an innocent gathering among friends to usher in the year of the pig. A bit of new year cheer, a toast to enduring friendship. The gathering started early at a local watering hole close to the party location. Couple of beers down and the early birds made their way to the said location.

Well-wishes greeted the host as the gathering got off to a good start. But fate has a way of creeping up behind you when you least expect it and stick it's bony finger up your arse. As the players starting arriving, the match slowly heated up. The turning point must have been when the first bottle of cognac was emptied into a glass (see below) without the benefit of any accompanying mixer.

The flair of GYLau ensured that there could be no escape from defeat for CSC after the first half. GYLau had obviously made great progress during his short training stint in China. His pacy delivery and aggression virtually guaranteed victory as pictures captured during the half time interval clearly showed.

The remaining players soon realised the possibility of the match being abandoned as indicated by the secret hand signal given by CSC with regards to his feelings about continuing the match. This quickly turned into a reality as all hell broke loose when the mighty titan finally fell (into the toilet bowl).

Soon after the defeat, the mighty titan that was once CSC found solace and comfort in the dressing room, choosing to reflect upon his impending retirement. Many will compare his performance to that of the all-time great Zidane's fall from grace in the recent World Cup.

Nothing much could be done as all were surprised by the swiftness of the fall. Perhaps the intensity of the fall could be best surmised by unused substitute Wayne when quizzed about what he just witnessed, "HA, haha, HAAAAHAAAAA...... ha."

We all salute the falling of a truly great titan and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. Also, the players present on the eventful night wish to offer him our sincerest apologies for leaving him in a deck chair by the pool. Bon voyage CSC, your presence in Singapore will be missed.
