Poh Sets London on Fire!

After an uncomfortable 13 hour flight, London embraced her forgotten son with her biting winds and dreary rain. Poh was back and raring to paint the town red. After checking into his posh service apartment, naturally the first thing to do was... to fall into a deep slumber.

After being ostrasize by my new team mates for the entire Sunday, I headed to work on Monday only to discover that my trainer, erm... had a different sexual orientation than most... Ah, the warm embrace of London life...

In order to continue the theme of the week, it was only right that I had to re-enact "Brokeback Mountain" with our brother in London, JT, on Valentine's Day. Hauntingly similar to the film, if I may say so, except for the lack of horses, raunches, mountains and gay cowboys. To follow up on our exciting Valentine's, it was off to JT's place a couple of days later where a romantic gourmet meal of meat balls, bean sprouts, ham and soup were awaiting. And who said romance was dead?

Perhaps the highlight of the week was a visit to the Ministry of Sound, but it was not without tribulations. After wandering around helplessly and following what looked like clubbers, we finally found the Ministry of... Salsa. But we made it and it was a refreshing change from the local clubbing scene back home. Definitely worth a visit for all visiters to London.

Surprisely the weekend brought about soccer, beer and mahjong! Just like back home. As Liverpool cruised to victory, so did I on the mahjong table. Afterall, not losing money is considered a win, isn't it? And of course, I was once again cruelly dumped by my team mates, nary a word from them the entire weekend...

Look out for more adventures of Poh in London in the up coming weeks. Pictures may follow soon, but no guarantees due to the dial up internet connection. Stay tuned.
